Foreman was KO'd by Ali because Dundee fetched the ropes especially for Ali's tactics . Lewis was humiliated and stopped by Rahman and McCall , Holyfield was stopped by Bowe , and used his head against many as well as clinches , and Bowe ducked almost every elite fighter of his time.

A good article which will more or less discredit that claim.

For the "original" 8 classes, plus Strawweight, since it's my favorite weight class:

I will limit every fighter to only one weight class and go with the class I think they were the best in.

          Heavyweight: Ali, Langford, Louis
          Light Heavyweight: Moore, Charles, Fitzsimmons
          Middleweight: Greb, Monzon, Tiger
          Welterweight: Robinson, Ray Leonard, Canzoneri
          Lightweight: Whitaker, Benny Leonard, Gans
          Featherweight: Armstrong, Pep, Gomez
          Bantamweight: Jofre, Brown, Roman
          Flyweight: Wilde, LaBarba, Chang
          Strawweight: Lopez, Alvarez, Porpaoin

How is it you have Canzoneri 3rd at welter? the bulk of his best wins were at lightweight.

Finally a list with Bob Foster on it. He'd be #1 if I made a list.

Yes, definitely ahead of Spinks. Except for an outrageous robbery in Peru early in his career and when he was totally shot he never lost to a lightheavyweight. You can say the same about Spinks, but I've seen both of them box on live TV many times and am confident that Foster would have beaten him. He was the sharper puncher of the two, and had at least as much power.

I think Spinks had the better resume of wins. He fought in an excellent era of Light Heavyweights, beating the likes of Yanqui Lopez, Marvin Johnson, Eddie Mustafa Muhammad, Marry Sutherland, John Davis, Eddie Davis, and best of all Dwight Muhammad Qawi.

Foster's wins over **** Tiger, Roger Rouse, Vicente Rondon, Pierre and Mark Tessman were all very good, but imo it wasnt as good an era as Spinks', and I dont even think Foster beat as many top level opponents either even pretending they were even.

You got me, I cheated. I just had to work Canzoneri in there somewhere as he's one of the most underrated fighters ever.
