I just re-scored it, but, I blindly scored every round that Tommy didn't win clearly for Leonard and still only came up with a draw at 115/115. I think Hearns won a lot of the rounds that I blindly gave to Leonard but even so, I still could only give it a draw based on the two KD's and the one or two other rounds that were clearly won by Hearns. There were also about two rounds in which in had even rounds as I had Hearns winning them, but Leonard did some good stuff too, so I just put them down as even or Leonard rounds.

When it comes down to it, if you somehow gave it a draw, I would just nod my head and maybe wonder what you were looking at, but if you gave the fight to Leonard, it's very obvious that you absolutely cannot score a fight at all and are otherwise blinded by Leonard. I'm guessing he is your favourite fighter TS?

You can argue that maybe it was more him being pissed at no call than going in for the kill to GET a knockdown called, but I'm sick of Barrera taking heat as a dirty fighter for that one. It was a heat of the moment thing predicated on referee inaction. If the ref didn't have his head up his ass the knockdown would have been scored, Barrera wouldn't have hit Marquez while he was down, and the fight could have continued normally.
Well, I'm not sure I can lay the blame at the ref's feet. I think it could easily have happened even if the ref had yelled "stop" and was starting to get in between them. It could have been stopped.

I don't think it was in the heat of the moment either. A heat of the moment thing is when you start throwing immediately without hesitation, imo. Barrera thought about it, hesitated and then punched. I don't think he's a dirty fighter as such for that incident and he's still one of my favourites. I'm just reacting in general to all those guys (not at all you, this was just a rant that was brought up by your reference to that fight) that seem to think Barrera was somehow wronged, or robbed even by not having the KD scored for him, ya know?

I can dig what you're saying though. The ref should have been closer but it's still an big offense against the rules.

If the ref had yelled "stop" or done anything whatsoever and Barrera had still hit him, it would be a more legitimate complaint imo. Perhaps "confusion" is a better term to use than "heat of the moment". You often see guys down against the ropes take a few extra hits when their knee is already one the canvas before the ref gets in there, so I think it was quite possibly a case of Barrera trying to get him to go down fully before some sort of action was taken since the ref ruled it neither a slip nor a knockdown. That's one of the most bizarre examples I can recall, as not only was it clearly a knockdown (the clearest one I've seen that wasn't called) the ref didn't react at all to the fighter going down. Even if he would have ruled it a slip, I think if he had done anything at all the foul wouldn't have occurred.

I'm sorry I don't have your excellent scoring ability. Oh how I wish I could use a pencil and paper and write the numbers 10, 9 and 8 like you do..

If you didn't feel Leonard won, that's fine. But you don't have to say those who scored it for him are ******. It's clear that most people in this thread thought the fight was close. So you're the only one who would be nodding their head.

My advice to you would be to put on your vest and go back to your padded room. I don't need to hear the whiny trash that you produce in every post.

It was close but the knockdowns were the difference for me. I think Hearns carried the strength up in weight better than Leonard.
