Did Foreman deserve his title shot in his comeback

Foreman rolled up a 24 fight win streak and deserved a title fight for beating Adilson Rodriguez.. Lots of fighters have gotten a World title fight for having shorter winning streaks and facing far lower level competition eg: Michael Grant, Phil Jackson, Lionel Butler, Henry Akinwande, Owen Beck, Ray Austin, Frans Botha, Leroy Jones, Scott Frank and many more.. i would strongly fancy Foreman to beat all those guys

So beating 24 bums the best of them Rodriguez is worthy of a shot in your eyes.

Smokin Bert Cooper went on to give Evander Holyfield a very tough title defense after Foreman had stopped him in his comeback.
Gerry Cooney was still pretty good and had only lost to champions Larry Holmes and Michael Spinks. Foreman destroyed him!
In my book Foreman deserved a shot and certainly acquitted himself well against Holyfield, champions with lesser chins may well have been knocked out in round 7!

I step in my thread to get accross my belief,
And all I’m getting is racial grief?
As I stare at you, I see pain,
As I stare at you, I am losing my mind and my brain,
And the rage that is inside, I can no longer contain,
Now what I wanna know is,
What is your motivation, for this racial implication, that has created this situation, and this frustration, upon this nation?

Quite an amusing poem there, but your not Ali yet. My mention of Cooney was not to bring about any of that disgusting racial stench that surrounded the Holmes fight so why did you bring it up? 'Racial implication'!! Could you not think of anything better than that to rhyme with 'motivation' and 'situation'? And why 'nation', which nation? People use this esteemed site from all over the world!
I'm hardly a Cooney fan myself but of all the guys George Foreman faced George claimed Cooney hit him the hardest. For all the criticism of his padded record......the man could punch and had fair hand speed.
He had only lost to a prime Holmes and Spinks and gave fair accounts of himself before his chin gave way each time. But I'm not going to embarrass myself by claiming that he was anything better than he was. Other fighters in the 90s got title shots with weaker records than the second coming of Foreman.
Granted there were better contenders in 1990 than those Foreman faced. Wins over Bowe, Tucker, Ruddock or Douglas would have been much better but Foreman did fairly well in world class between 91 and 98 so you cant really dispute him being there.
