Easy decision for me, Sugar Ray Robinson, I don't even have Ali in my top 10.

I agree with SRR,he is head and shoulders better than Muhammad Ali.

Who are the 9 fighters you have above Muhammad Ali?

At the moment my top 10 is:

        (Random order)
        Ray Robinson
        Joe Gans
        Harry Greb
        Willie Pep
        Sam Langford
        Henry Armstrong
        Jimmy Wilde
        Archie Moore
        Benny Leonard
        Roberto Duran

        Changes on a daily basis
(I could easily change 2 or 3 names on there for Charles, Fitzsimmons etc, depends on how I'm feeling )

If I put enough thought into making a fixed list longer then 10 I guess Ali would be around 16 - 18.

Ali is greater, but I can see why others would rank Robinson higher.

Unfortunately, you'll find a lot of yes-boy's who rank Robinson higher because "that's how it's supposed to be".

ali is the better fighter in his prime since he had good footwork like robinson but also had amazing head movement....i could care less about some random quote by ali saying robinson was the greatest....ali in his prime>robinson in his prime....i can picture prime ali beating every heavyweight i cant do the same for robinson at welterweight or middleweight...

Robinson can get any style, he would adapt and box or fight hard, he would always try to dominate, if not the first fight, then the second/third/fourth/fifth. Ali had one style, he was dominating boxing forward or backwards laterally, Robinson could actually push the action, he could be brutally violent, u can't say that about Ali, although Ali worked hard and was fast as hell!

i don't know, them at some same weight in some fantasy world, it's Robinson's aggressiveness that has the edge for me that would eat him up, his aggressiveness forward and backward, if u understand what i mean.
