Hagler couldn't beat SRL and his his pitty pat last 30 second spurts, no way he beats a prime RJJ that throws a lot more punches, and was faster than SRL when he beat hagler. Roy was more elusive than Ray, who gave Hagler some real trouble with his movement.

Did you really just judge Hagler's prime ability of off the last fight in his career ?

That was Hagler's last fight. I don't think that's a good judge of Hagler. That's akin to saying if Tarver can wreck Roy Jones Jr than Hagler would do much worse, which is silly.

OK let's say 83's hagler vs 94's jones. The way i see it hagler's only way to win is by knockout which is almost impossible because of roy's cat a like reflexes and great footwork. His chin? at LH yes his chin isn't that great, but he has a good chin for a MW. Plus, he's naturally bigger than hagler which i think would make it a little bit harder to bully him. Hagler would make it tough for roy because of his style,but it wouldn't be like yall think it would be.

Actully, leonard DID caused hagler some trouble with his movement, and i don't think hagler was robbed. The fight was too close, and it could go either way.

Hagler was past-prime then, a lot of people thought he deserved the decision, SRL and RJJ are not the same fighter etc.

I thought Hagler won. But still, SRL was a WW. I think jones would do a better job at sticking and moving than Leonard. Jones had more pop at MW than Leonard and he was better defensively. Leonard liked to fight now and then and that's what kept Hagler in the fight.

that said, I can't think of anybody that would decision Jones at that weight. jones was simply the best in that class. Only chance is a KO.

Actually, Jones wasn't that big. Hagler had a slightly longer reach than him. jones was just barely 5'11, I've seen 5'10 in some cases. Hagler was hard as iron it would be a tough tough fight.
