Stanley Ketchel double crossed Johnson in there fight.

Johnson was supposed to go easy on Ketchel and just win on points.Ketchel knew about this but tried to double cross Johnson when he saw an opening and tried to KO Johnson.Well,he did drop Johnson, but Jack got up right away and was furious at Ketchel and it only took him 5 seconds to KO Ketchel!!

It only took Johnson 5 seconds to KO Ketchel when he was trying!! Ketchel was out almost 5 minutes! One of his teeth was also in Johnson's glove.

I just wanted to set the record straight on that fight, and that Ketchel could not have knocked down Johnson if the fight was on the up and up.

Johnson's best win? I think it would be a tie between Jeffries and Tommy Burns.

While Jeffries is a great name on the resume I really don't think this fight did any more for Johnson than Camacho's win over Ray Leonard did for him. The only thing it proved in my opinion was how diluted and desperate white America was at that time to believe a man who hadn't fought in 6 years was just going to go in and lift the title. Jmo.

How long did Jeffries train for Johnson? I read he trained for almost a year.If this is so i think Jeffries was better than most people think.Still not even close to prime Jeffries, but better than most people think.

Im not sure how long he trained for Johnson to be honest. But I do know that having to lose 100lbs, plus the combination of not fighting in 6 years as well as being 35 SEVERELY dulls the reflexes. As you said, he may have been better than most thought, but he was still just a shell of his former fighting self.
