    Burley without question. He simply beat the far better fighters. Burley holds wins over prime Archie Moore and Holman Williams. Hopkins has nothing close to that.

        Dont know much about Burley, what kind of fighter was he and who did he beat? As for Hopkins he isnt a ATG imo

          They should be rated pretty close to each other either way you go. Burley got better wins but Hopkins was far, far more consistent. It's not just about how good you are on your best day.

            True, but do you not think it's worth taking into consideration that Burley had chronic hand problems for much of his career?

              Worth taking that into account for talking about ATG talents...not careers. If we talk about the most talented fighters of all time then Burley can be rated way ahead of Hopkins.
