Think Muhammed Ali and Joe Frazier deserve mention just for the hell they put themselves through in the trilogy.

Joe Louis could be added here. Out of all the times he was knocked down he was only kept there twice. Once early in his career after absorbing dozens and dozens of flush right hands, the other in his last fight when he was clearly shot.

You could argue, that Marciano never took a really bad beating and never stared certain defeat in the eyes... but de did carry on with a terribly cut nose against Charles, as if nothing had happened. No doubt in my mind, that he had a tremendous heart. As did the others already mentioned.

Honourable mention should, in my opinion, go to Willard for coming out for the 2nd round against Dempsey... and to Carnera for refusing to stay down against Baer.

                  Joe Louis
                  Rocky marciano
                  Muhammad Ali
                  Joe Frazier
                  Evander Holyfield

edit: I had David Tua on there but I forgot you said Champions.

I think you could argue John Ruiz has heart. He was champion, and as boring as he was, the dude has a lot of heart, even today.

Of the ones I've seen Ali, Frazier, and Holyfield were the standouts. Those three just refused to stay down, and you had to kill them to beat them.
