          For me it is Leonard, but only by a few spots. Dempsey has been suspected to use loaded gloves when he murdered Willard. But the way Tunney took him to school shows how a slick fighter could beat him. I think the whole long count can be debated; but Tunney proved he was a superior fighter.

              I'll go for Ray Leonard, just! Quality of opposition being the defining factor.

              Both were exceptionally tallented, exciting to watch and were icons in the sport in their defining eras.
