I think Hatton would of been able to keep Arguello off balance for a few rounds, Hatton had many similarities with Mancini and when he was on and focused he had a decent skill pallette but in the end Arguello would of done the same thing he did to Mancini to Hatton. Somewhere down the line Arguello would of landed a time counter punch and put Hatton down and sent him on a downward spiral ultimately leading to him being KO'd, around ten probably.I don't see Hatton going out early in this one. I think he could win some of the early rounds by mugging Arguello and getting off with some body work inside.

I see Arguello catching up after awhile though, landing right hands down the pipe with more regularity as time progresses. Ultimately the punishment would pile up and Arguello's straight punches would pay off. Late round knockout win for Arguello.

      140 wasn't AA's best weight....so I'll think

I think Hatton wins the early rounds, fast, aggressive plus AA wasn't a fast starter, he was real 15 round fighter.

But I think if AA could compose himself (which he would, I mean he went with Pryor's pressure for 14 rounds), starts picking his shots as Hatton leaps in, starts landing with a bit of regularity, I think as it goes on AA is landing the cleaner shots, but Hatton's aggression is making it close. But AA keeps lifting and eventually takes clear control and busts Ricky up, wins a decision if it's 12, stops him in a 15 rounder.

hatton would overwhelm the smaller man with non stop aggression just like pryor did.arguello will get in his shots by ricky had a great chin in his prime as he proved in the kostya zoo fight.

arguello was great but ricky was a real nightmare for anyone at that weight in his prime.

Prime hatton wins a close decision imo,Arguello wasnt quite the same threat at 140

like who? when did arguello ever deal with the type of pressure of a prime ricky hatton? aaron pryor maybe but nobody else that I can think of.

arguello could punch but hatton had an iron jaw in his prime.

This is Arguello at 140. I'd pick him to beat Hatton, but not how Pacquiao did it. I see him doing it more how Mayweather did it, probably in a brawl. Pacquiao got him with speed and Arguello wasn't a speed demon by any standards.

Hatton was a 150+ lb 140 lbder, he made up for lack of skill with a tremendous strength advantage.

Hatton could win some of the earlier rounds based on aggression and workrate, but Arguello would eventually catch him.
