how can you discredit holmes struggles with norton when ali did the same, its a style matchup....holmes would beat the guys frazier beat as well, with exception ali in 71 thats a tossup....bert sugar always ranks attacking fighters like dempsey and armstrong highest so its no shock...

frazier competed and did great in a phenomenal era of heavies. larry pretty much solely dominated a weak era of heavyweights. imo legacies like that are hard to compare. but i do believe that frazier was a better pressure fighter than larry was a boxer. in other words, joe was better at his style than larry at his. i dont have any stats on hand, but if i were to guess id say joe was hit about as often as larry which is amazing for someone who comes forward like joe.

Frazier has had bigger fights, but I cant see how he can be considered greater than Holmes, who was dominant during his hw title reign. In a mythical matchup I would have to go with Holmes who was a better Boxer than Ali.
