i noticed you have got your girlfriend to start up a thread to try to ridicule me, you have blocked me from putting a comment on it... yes i was correct when i said you was a young 17yr old, just remember son that i have forgotten more than you will ever know on this sport.

    Thanks GreatA

I didn't get Box to do anything and I wouldn't block someone.

If you do have Booker footage what fight is it ?, enjoy reading about him and such and would love to see one of his fights.

You wouldn't by any chance be the one hoarding the long lost footage of Harry Greb?

its a phrase which has then only been used very recently and taken from that book as i can never recall it being used, i have read several Schulberg books including : Memories of a Hollywood Prince - Muhammad Ali, The Great Benny Leonard & The Harder they Fall, i have also read Hemingway`s 50 Grand as well as hundreds of original books like Gloves glory & God - Henry Armstrong with no mention of that phrase "murders row" which Schulberg coined, yet what is surprising is that when Schulberg was asked who he thought was the greatest pound-for-pound fighter? he said:

          The best pound-for-pound fighter?

'I would pick Ray Robinson over Ali and Louis, because he could box as well as Ali - he was so fast - and for his weight could punch like Joe Louis. He was the perfect combined boxer-puncher.'

what happened to his Murderers Row thesis?

It'd be fair to say though that Schulberg "coined" the term. Harry Otty also made it popular with his book "Charley Burley and the Black Murderer's Row".

It wasn't used in the 40's and 50's but it's a fairly popular term now to describe the avoided middleweight contenders of the 1940's.

If you're referring to the 'myth' of Robinson ducking Burley then from what I recall it wasn't in the Schulberg book and I personally don't think he did, but from another point of view being the best pound for pound boxer doesn't rule you out from avoiding people, maybe if Robinson seen Burley as a threat to his reign he would avoid him as a possibility of him getting beat + the most well known reason is because the fight wouldn't pull enough money for the fight.
Has nothing to do with him being the best.

Plus 'Murderers Row' was the title given to the avoided boxers not the best.

Unless Cotto would of beat Mosley back then he would not have a title
