    Other.

My top two under rated HWs would be Harry Wills and Jack Sharkey.

Judging from another thread in this section the underrating of Larry Holmes is alive and well. While it's true most of the knowledgable posters give Holmes his due there's still a sizable body of posters on Boxing Scene that think he's crap

He reminds me of recent HW champ Lennox Lewis who never fully got the respect he deserved even though he beat every opponent he ever faced. I guess he needed to detached Klitschko's eye from its socket in order to get credit for that win? Lewis was always in the shadow of Tyson and when beats him the excuse is that Tyson was way past his prime.

Holmes could have beaten tomato cans but he can came so close to Marciano's record. The fact that he was a little after the golden era of HW's took some luster out of his resume. Many like to remember a HW who brutally murders his opponent instead of using a great jab and boxing skill. The first lost to Spinks will always be a bone with some fans who can't accept that a great HW can lose to a LHW. Nonethelss, i thought Holmes avenged that loss in the rematch and he is still one of the HW in my list.

I like the post interview where Duran starts to say something like the guy was running away from me and than says well i might have overtrainned for the fight."

So you stole my avator i guess need to steal your signature by listening to Rocka Rolla to Nostradamus and than Soundhouse tapes to A Matter of Life and Death; have them all but haven't them in a while.
