    Strange/Bizarre Knockouts Throughout History

What are some of the most bizarre knockouts in the history of the sport? Controversial even...? I pose the question because I was watching Luisito Espinosa v. Khaokor Galaxy today and I couldn't get over how strange that KO was. Some feel it may have been a fix, some feel it was a delayed reaction from a body shot. Maybe he fainted?

Espinosa seemed to land a great body shot to the rib cage and some other shots downstairs which were not in clear view before Galaxy went down.

Decide for yourself. What are some other good ones though?

I have seen this happen a few times and have had it happen to myself in sparring. Its a perfectly placed body punch. The pain is almost unbearable and you try to fight through it until you realize it isn't going away. I'd equate the pain to being stabbed in the side with the whole knife going in. Gatti, DLH, Alfonso Sanchez and many others have experienced that agony. See Gatti after his knockdown from a left hook to the body by Mickey Ward. He said he was in so much pain he was actually crying.

I have also seen some pretty delayed reactions from body shots, e.g. Castillo v. Hatton, but nothing that dramatic. Khaokor had it in him to get into another full exchange and then stalk forward again before backing off and slumping to the canvas. Very strange sequence of events.

You can clearly see that Espinosa landed a great looking body shot in there though.

Case in point: I let my little sister who weighs about 80lbs punch me as hard as she could in the liver and it hurt a bit, it is nearly as sensitive as your nuts.... (well not on that level maybe) now imagine a pro fighter punching you in that spot...Luckily I have never really been caught with a real perfect liver shot in sparring or a fight, but I have seen it happen, and you see guys just open their eyes up wide, stagger and then crumble to the ground, awesome punch.

Kostya Tzsyu vs Zab Juddah - Unforgettable; he did a chicken dance, had time to complain to the ref, then went on a waltza trip all the way to the canvas!.. Funny stuff..

Michael Watson vs Nigel Benn - Benn gassed mid-way, and Watson KO'd him with a powder-puff jab..

Sven Ottke vs Anthony Mundine - Mundine was cruising to victory (but still wouldn't have got the DC) when Ottke slaps him on the temple, and Mundine goes down like he's been shot with a cross-bow..

Brian London knocking Ingemar Johansson spark out with only seconds to go in the final round, only to lose it on points while Johansson came back round in his corner..

He did feint/pass out. I remember reading about it somewhere. He had a black out in the round after being hit with a shot. Not a body shot or delayed reaction. From what I recall he had been in a bad car accident and suffered some head injury in the months previous to the fight and would never fight again because of what happened here.
