hamed mostly fought who was available. tyson has some overrated wins over guys who weren't at their best but were hardly bums. but jones, there's just no excuses for some of his comp. not that he didn't fight some great comp too, but i'd say he's the worst as far as picking bad opponents when there were better ones available
Who fought more bums? Hamed, Tyson, or Roy Jones?

None.. they fought plenty of guys who held world titles, if you had added Lennox Lewis to this list he would have won by a country mile.Comment

Hamed by a large Margin.
I mean, the 2 names he fought - Kelly and Barrera. Kelly knocked him down a few times and Barrera straight up owned him.
After that it's Tyson, who has some good wins but generally not great wins. the Spinks fight could make a case because of the way he dealt with him. Wouldn't call Tyson a bum beater but more so he was a great fighter in a slightly weaker era compared to the 70's or 90's.
Roy I don't even consider a bum beater and shouldn't be on this list.
Jones fought B-Hop and Toney during his prime...that's enough to take him off this list.Last edited by them_apples; 02-13-2010, 02:04 PM.Comment

Names perhaps, but Tom Johnson was regarded as the best featherweight at the time Hamed beat him.Vuyani Bungu was rated by Ring Magazine as being the best super bantamweight in the world, even ahead of Barrera and Morales before he moved up to featherweight to fight Hamed.
He has the weakest resume of the three, but Hamed still fought nine fighters who held world title's at some point in their career.
Hopkins was a good win that became a great win due to Hopkins success in the following years after his loss to Jones. But at the time,it wasn't that big of a win.Comment
