I always felt De Leon was an underrated fighter and i do have him as a top 200 p4p fighter. It clearys show there is a little love for the cruiser division. Any fighter than regains his title 3 more times as Deleon did should be considered for the HOF.

Charles was my selection, but upon further review I think I stand corrected. Nice catch. I probably inadvertently added Marciano to Ezzard's win column.

There are many fighters who fall a bit short like Kid Norfalk, Ketchel, Ross etc. I personally count Gene Tunney a guy who i put in my top 10 P4P as possibly beating 7 Hall of famers. Someone in this thread mentioned the issue of newspaper decisions and the whole controversy around it. I also count Jack Sharkey as beating 7 HOF's and possibly 8 if Risko ever gets in to either the WBHOF or the IBHOF.

Tunney has beaten 5 HOF's T. Gibbons, J. Dempsey(twice), H. Greb(twice i believe), Carpentier, Levinsky, and Risko may eventually get in which gives him 6. His possible 7th is a Newspaper decision against Loughran. The New York Times gave him the win. But the fight was in philly the hometown of Loughran and the local philly paper gave it to Loughran making it essentially a draw. But if you count the NYT newspaper decision than Tunney has 7. Jack Sharkey beat 6 guys who went to the IBHOF: Schmeling, Loughran, Stribling, J. Delaney, Godfrey, Willis. He also beat Primo Carnera who is inducted to the WBHOF. This gives him 7 if you count the WBHOF. Primo Carnera due to the issue of fixed fights likely will never get in the IBHOF, if Risko ever makes it than he will have 7.
