Louis's achievements shade Ali's????? get the **** outta here.....3 time heavyweight champ, 4 years of his prime taken away from him, and a past prime Ali was still able to dominate the greatest heavyweights ever......Shavers, Foreman, Liston...argueably 3 of the 5 biggest punchers in history couldn't knock Ali down....Marciano flattened Louis, you can make a case Louis was old and past prime but wtf was Ali when he fought Holmes??? Ali still didnt go down with Parkinsons........Ali's resume makes Louis's look lame.....ok well done, longest reigning champ and most title defences, but could louis do that ****e in Ali's era???? How do you know Louis couldn't do the same in Ali's era? Thats right, you're guessing. I find it a bit dubious you mention Ali having years of his prime taken away yet disregard that Louis himself was unable to fight for almost 3 years because of the war. Taking that into consideration Louis could have had potentially 10 more defenses. You say Ali resume make Louis' look lame. While I give credit to Ali for having the best resume amongst heavyweight champs, Joes resume was pretty damn good too. I may be wrong but I believe he fought 12 hall of famers and ko'd 5 different world champions while he held the title. Add that to his 25 title defenses and its easy to argue Louis as the best heavyweight ever. That said, a pick for Ali doesn't bother me. But for my money Louis was the best ever.
