I thought Masao Oba got better as fights went on, to a lesser extent Jiro Watanabe did as well.

Joe Frazier always started slow and then started "smoking" after about 4-5 rounds.

Roberto Duran is the most obvious one that springs to my mind. He often used to have some issues early on, which was usually due to his insanity I think, but then as the fight wore on he would settle down into a rhythm and just get better and better. By the championship rounds he was really raring on all cylinders. It wasn't just after four rounds he would get into it, it often wasn't until the tenth or so that he was at his best. Incredible.

I've never been sold on AA, but he keeps on proving me wrong. As far as recent fighters go.....Yeah, he gets the job done better the longer the fight goes. Hate to say it, but nice call.

                      Frazier
                      La Motta
                      Duran
                      Trinidad
                      Hagler
I'd say all of the above liked to ease their way into a fight
