Nice to see Billy Walker getting talked about.

As for the Thread question. Micky Ward made millions soley of his fights with Gatti. Not bad for a fighter without much skill just heart and will.

It would be interesting to hear how much Brian Nielsen made. He was missive in his native Denmark and fought Tyson and Holmes. And he wasn't far above a club fighter.

How about Carlos Massau - that terrible, terrible "fluke" champion from Colombia? Bet they paid him a pretty penny to come over and lose to Hatton!

By the way, why do you guys speak so disparagingly of Brian Nielsen... the finest fighter to come out of Denmark since Battling Nelson!

Not only was he an Olympian - he actually won a bronze medal at the '92 Games. And as pro he went undefeated in his first 49 bouts against top-notch opposition - picking up the world (IBC and IBO) heavyweight crown along the way.

Furthermore... nah, who am I kidding? Your absolutely right - the guy was total garbage!

You had me saying wtf for a minute there, but on a serious note i think brian did have talent, but he wanted to be a slob instead

nah hamed was very talented and earned his money with his style in and out of the ring losing to barrera does not make him a bum and people tend to forget he was a solid fighter with better then average speed and power
