  • Hasim Rahman On Fighting Rocky Marciano ......

''I can't say nothing disrespectful about Mr Marciano. I think it would probaly end in a no conest or a draw or something. I really would find it extremely disrepectful to say I would win, plus I think it's really unfair to him because he was a small Heavyweight fighting in a different era''

That is...class act if he said that.

I think Rahman was good in his prime.

          Yes, like here:

This was one of his best wins.

He gave David Tua a boxing lesson twice and was the only man to knock a prime Lewis out cold.
But it kind of went downhill after the Lewis rematch.

Rahman's an underrated fighter.. He was in the mix for a very long time.. He beat, as well as lost to, a lot of top 10 fighters, but unfortunately, a lot of people tend to remember him more for getting KO'd by Maskaev twice..
He was always dangerous & in many entertaing fights up until Lewis2
I think he schooled Sanders, if I remember correctly?

Deff, he had a hell of a strong right hand, good jab, and threw good combinations just never really pressed. Tough dude, started boxing at like 24, was shot 4 times if I remember? Maskaev knocked him out but the Rock was deff doing work before that. And his fight with Klitchko he took on like a weeks notice n still hung in just as long as pretty much everybody else does. Rahman's deff a class act for this one though.

A well guarded, but classy comment. Good for Hasim.

RUBBISH... who are all these "Lot of Top 10 Fighters" Rahman fought? do you mean getting a decision over a 43yr old Trevor Berbick or a Decision over old Jesse Ferguson...

Rahman was fortunate against Corrie Sanders, there was no `Owned`as you claim...

Rahman was no more than a journeyman who lost each time he fought above Class C... poleaxed twice by Maskaev, Butchered by old Holyfield, KOd by Fat Tua, lost every round to John Ruiz and quit against James Toney...
Rahman is the worst undisputed heavyweight champion in boxing history... his claim to fame is he `wacked`Lewis out like another journeyman McCall did..

                    Marciano would crucify Rahman
