Tiberi fight was the only one really. Lot of close fights after that, where it was acceptable to go either way.

Toney is an ATG in my book. wins over Nunn, Johnson, Maccallum, Barkley, and Jirov solidfy this. Champion in 3 weight classes. I don't really see how this can be debated.

I dont know how great he was but he was tremendously talented, what i will say is that his style had its limitations, when he fought Jones he was fighting a guy with a very good Boxing IQ, Jones knew to get off the shoulder and triple the left hook, so where as Toney likes to bend away or underneath the left hook, when you get off the shoulder and throw he actually bends into them, Toney's style is also based on having his opponents commit to their punches, Jones kept it at range.

Having watched the Griffin fight again and actually! scored it this time i can hold my hands up and say i got it wrong, Toney did win the fight clearly, but having watched it again i can see why Griffin fooled me, because he did!! have Toney fighting his fights and he was dictating the pace of the fight, that said he was not connecting as much as i thought he was when i first watched it.

He should of lost to Tiberi though, that fight i did score and Toney lost that fight clearly on my card, that said its not really a mark for how good or bad Toney was because Tiberi only had success because Toney was struggling at the weight. Toney inshape would of beat Tiberi with ease!!

The McCallum fight is a sore subject with me i dont think Toney won the second fight and i could stand for a draw in the first but for him to win both.

Id take Toney's resume, loses and all, over Joe Calzaghe's undefeated career, Toney actually fought elite fighters in their prime and beat a few.
