The cauliflower ears those guys ended up with, tell the tale of a million punches slipped.. Now all we need is a box of matches!

If this wasn't the most corniest attempt to suck up to the regulars on this section of the forum, then I don't know what is.I would love to see you never make such a corny ass post ever again.

          Confused on that one...I think.

          Just in case:

It was a knock on the newbies saying Old Timers suck and had no skill.

There was a Gif below that I made below what I wrote. It's a Gif of Lewis slipping a right hand and then unloading a combo to knock down his opponent...which is a display of skill that I (jokingly) said they didn't have.

Video Gif is not working now...not sure why.

I find it interesting because you can literally watch the evolution of boxing. Of course, if you pitt an old ass fighter against a modern fighter, it'd be a mis match. They'll be saying the same thing 40 years down the line. With time comes change, so time changes and shapes boxing as well.

The boxers of their time were considered the greatest. Present time is modern time, so it's accurate to say that LaMotta, and Basilo, and Marciano, Walcott, Robinson, Johnson, Armstrong, Villa, Elorde, or any other "old school" fighter were great.

THink back even further to the bare knuckle days. Those mother fcukers were pretty tough. That style of fighting is also completely different.
