Can we questions Naseem Hamed's heart ? People do question his heart and ive heard people say Tyson had heart and that Hamed did not have heart because he walked away, but Hamed has never quit inside the ring, he has been down multiple times but still got up dusted himself down and took the opponent out, he also had to tough it against Manuel Medina when he was flued up, he was tagged a few times and looked terrible but he still brought a performance out and managed to stop the durable, tough Medina.

How many times had Hamed had to come back from KD's.............Sanchez, Alicea, Kelly.

People are quick to say he did not have heart because he quit but i dont know how true that is, he showed heart!! in the ring if not outside it or by not coming back.

I'm referring to the bad hearted way he treats people.. Like leaving that couple for dead not too long ago..

Just don't say he had "No Heart" since that shouldn't be near any top fighter. Just stepping into the ring at that level shows you have heart. Most people would piss their pants in the locker-room and refuse to come out.

There is a lot to it with "Heart" since in my opinion, it goes along with your motivation/hunger...how you are trained, and so on. Your "Heart" level can be high at one point in time but down the next because you are just not into it anymore. If Naz had no heart he would have never made it as far as he did.

Naz just isn't in that elite company because he never tried to climb back out of the whole after that loss to MAB to get a rematch or even fight for another title. But maybe he knew his limitations as well: He was Good but just not ATG good to beat someone like MAB so what was the point. Your either Champ or nothing. So he retired.

They probably should have kept his ass poor like many fighters but that wasn't going to happen.
That's one big disadvantage I feel with new generation fighters compared to fighters way back: Today's "stars" can get paid incredible amounts of money and sit on their ass for months without a fight which can soften their heart/body...while Old Timers needed that monthly pay-check to put food on the table. Of course there were some that made so much money that they didn't have to fight for a few years, like Dempsey, but he was the exception...and it probably did cost him against Gene Tunney.
But that's all about being a "Pro" and you have to learn to deal with it and adapt because people do.

Hamed also broke his hands in a few of his fights I believe and he fought through those, he did have a pretty good heart.

Getting rid of Ingle was his first mistake.. He then ceased practicing the style he'd become accustomed to.. His new trainer (think his name was Oscar Saurez) Then made changes (tampered with the engine) that Hamed couldn't adjust to..

Hameds style was not unlike a lot of the Ingle fighters, it's the way he's always taught the sport.. Look at Junior Witter, Johnny Nelson & Herol Graham for example.. All Ingle based 'reflex' fighters, & Hamed was by far the best of em!
Had he been a good boy, gone back after the Barrera defeat, and said sorry to Brendon, then I'm sure he'd have won his title back.. But I'm afraid the word sorry dosn't exist in the Hamed book of charm does it?... So he swallowed his pride, got fat, bought a fast car and went out killing people, and he never once said sorry for that either..

If I'm not mistaken. Naseem was dropped but all of the were flash knockdowns. He was never hurt so he never had any thought of quitting inside the ring. I think his loss to Barrera destroyed his confidence. He honestly thought he could beat anyone and didn't think he could be touched. So when he lost he probably lost the fire to compete. Some guys just can't take losses the same way others do.
