I said he was greater than Jeffries, and I stand by that.
The tide had turned in the Corbett fight and Corbett was fading, read the round by round reports
Fitz should have gotten the verdict against Sharkey in their 1 st fight ,and you dismiss his ko of Ruhlin.
Sharkey past it ? He was 26 !
Fitz was 10 years older if Sailor Tom was past it what was Fitz? lol
Yet you mention him losing to all the heavyweights he next fought, not actually true BTW.
He had a further 6 fights against heavies.Losing to Jeffries,Johnson and Lang and winning over 3 novices
At the age of 40 he wins the Lhvy title and defends it successfully against O Brien aged 41then loses it to
O Brien aged 42..
He is 46 when he loses to Johnson and 48 when he loses to Lang.
I'm no historian or parade follower ,but I find your assessment comically biased.
