I have to say i think it would have been the same result with Tunney winning on points.

Its a reasonable supposition,but,because a more active Dempsey caught Tunney in their second fight,I'm inclined to think prime Dempsey would tag Tunney at some point and,provided he obeyed the corner rule, stop him.

Dempsey lost to inactivity and a long count in his fights to Tunney. A more prime Dempsey would have been faster with sharper reflexes. I think Dempsey would win by decision and maybe even stoppage.
