Of course it's not the same but also it is not to be discounted. The fights that Lomo, Usyk, Bivol, Beterbiev, Stevenson, etc against often against opponents with a 50/50 chance of victory has stood them well. It's different but delivers a fighter deep into a high standard at the professional level. Usyk had Russo, Beterbiev, Joe Joyce, Nistor and a slew more, many of them over 5 rounds, loads in hostile territory.

175lbs is 175lbs.
So, bigger, faster, stronger doesn't apply here.
Also, guys fight less, go longer times between fights, rarely fight the best competition, & often miss whole generations of worthy opponents.
If Tank Davis fought 75 years ago, he would've had to fight Lopez, Stevenson, Loma, & everybody else by now, but these days, he can make a ton of money while avoiding an entire era of people around his weight class.
That is not the way to be great.
