  • --- Actually it was Popkins who fought dirty, so Tito gave it back to him rather than rely on a dirty ref.

Tito in General was not a dirty Fighter, whereas repeated fouls allowed by compliant refs was 90% of Popkins arsenal.

    • Watched Quarte v Oscar and Quarte v Vargas recently. Enjoyed both fights. Loved Ike's jab, I wouldn't be surprised if Ike was a natural lefty who got turned around to fight orthodox.

      • --- always thought a good chance Wlad was lefty turned orthodox, by far the most dominating left hand in history.

He dominated many a fight with a wide selection of educated jabs and left hooks.

        • --- Had some major league fun revisiting Ali/Inoki on mute with my classical station providing inspiration.

Ali could have used some as he scarcely threw a punch and literally got the stink kicked out of his legs. Best comedy moments galore, but in the 6th Ali managed to grab both of Inoki ankles, but left his lead leg exposed that Inoki used to pull him down. In the mayhem Inoki rolled on top with his rassle tights buttocks sitting on Ali's face.

Hollywood stuntman and WWE HOF judo legend Gene Lebell got a good workout having to pry off the massive Inoki everytime he had him in a grapple.

Ali ended up in critical condition for a few days until Docs were able to disolve the injurious blood clots in his bloodstream threatening to move into his brain.

He earned $6mil, but this just another nail in his health that left him worse for wear. Still, it was inspiring how well Inoki did in spite of only being to use 10% of his arsenal.

Also in the wwe HOF as the precursor to modern mma. Looks great for an ol'timer too!

          • Linares vs Lomachenko. Linares put Loma on the seat of his pants, temporarily. Then Loma did the same to Linares and the fight was over.

            • More fake news from the Queen. ALI was not on critical condition after his exhibition with Inoki. Completely untrue.

You may be the most unstudied ninny I've ever encountered. Japanese healthcare is first rate that certainly coulda improved your poor results.

                • Again you stated Ali was in “critical condition” and that is simply a completely untrue statement. A made up lie as typical from you.

                  • First Ali never went to any hospital after the bout.

Secondly Ali only rested for two weeks in LA after the bout using ice packs to absolve any swelling.

Less than 3 months later he was in the ring against top rated Ken Norton.

Find any reference from that time that Ali was in “critical condition”.

Pacheco theorized decades later in one of his books on working with Ali that the kicks could lead to something serious but this would be true of any injury.

                    Why make **** up?

Why don't you go search for the Holy Grail of the original unedited Ali/Cooper 1 tape showing the Dundee illicit inhalant for Ali and torn glove time delay?

You could be a Hero instead of a self inflated Zero!
