      Its BS!

Truman Gibson said Moore went into the tank against Marciano,I think that's BS too.

Being ko'd in1 round by then unheralded Leonard Morrow in1948 did raise some eyebrows however.

        - - Arch's last fight, so he decided to make some $$$ on Ali's cartoon prediction. When Dick Sadler, his trainer/mgr found out, it caused a major rift because he wasn't in on it where they cut ties for several years until George Foreman brought them together.

After Sadler drugged George for Ali, he fired both Sadler and Arch though Arch made up with him later convincing him he wasn't part of the plot.

Insert you denying Sadler didn't drug George here:

Actually it was only a partial drugging since George only took a swallow before rejecting the rest, so you have a partial out if you chose to use it...yeah...

I am of the opinion that every fighter gets to lay down once in his career.

A little payback to every promoter, manager, trainer, or broadcaster whoever gouged him.

Nope after Moore's contract with Johnston expired he never had another manager,he employed Kearns on a fight to fight basis.

I'm not going to dignify the rest of your sewage with a comment, suffice to say Foreman himself later admitted he was drugged, but only by Ali's punches.
You really don't care how many times you are exposed and humiliated do you, just as long as you get some attention, however scornful it may be.

            Truly Weird!

              - - Foreman relayed exactly what Moore told him about that Ali fight.

Doc Kearns boxing record and personal life was pretty pitiful.

              BoxRec: Jack Kearns

I'll take Big George and Archie version of what happened in the Ali fight over your punch drunk, wine marinated, snail besotted fantasy.

In the ring, Doc Kearns gave a pretty good account of himself. 1-6-0

In just his second fight he took on a 20 rounder against Mose LaFontise (18-6-5), Montana's WW king. Was stopped but lasted five rounds. He didn't roll over.

In 1905 he was KD several times but finished on his feet for a PTS loss against one Kid Parker. Who was 28-9-7 at the time.

In 1908, just his 5th fight, he put Billy Lauder (15-1-6) down on the canvas twice but was stopped by a body shot in 9 of 10. So he could punch.

Even in his final defeat, and only his 7th fight, Boxrec reports he "was totally outclassed," but he still forced the fight into the fourth round of a scheduled 15. (Jmmy Potts 50-3-22.)

He was stopped in six of his seven loses but always got to the fourth round or better. Not a cream puff. A real tough guy who took fights he had no right to take; with insanely experienced opponents.

Canadian newspaper on the Jimmey Potts fight:

"Kearns was clearly outclassed and has no license to go up against a man like Potts."

He wasn't any good, but he was a real ham & egger; not a cream puff. He took fights with very experiened boxers and put up a fight.

P.S. Of course this is Doc Kearns, so is it possible they were all set-ups?

                    - - He has also reiterated that he was drugged. Sometimes when he's feeling graciously humble.

Nice to see you found the link of Kearns and Dempsey to Archie. Been a good day for you for a change, eh?
