Who can come up with the shortest route, that has a flyweight champion "beating" (you know: A beats B, who beats C... etc.) a heavyweight champion?

Also... no, the participants in the chain don't all have to be world champions. Of course the first and last name in the chain must be world champions (at FLY and HW, respectively) - but those in between can be anybody!

Sorry about the missing flyweight. My hasty reading of your title thought it saw featherweight there. I don't even know if the flyweight division existed in the era I was drawing from. I wasn't even sure if featherweight did until I looked it up. Oh well, I didn't win the cigar this time.Bundana likes this.

This is as much as I can get out of the era I was in. Flyweight division came about in1909. Before that, anyone weighing under bantamweight was still considered a bantamweight. McGovern was a bantamweight champ first. It is conceivable that someone who beat McGovern was flyweight sized, but that still wouldn't win a cigar, and Terry wasn't in the habit of losing much anyway. I don't know, maybe I do win the cigar. I will know more after I obtain counsel.
