Guesstimating Langford's Punch

Slugfester
Langford's punching power, though only hearsay, at least is the hearsay of other great fighters.
Which fighter that you know better matches Langford in power most closely? I will supply three grades of power: G, for greater than Langford's, L, for Less than Langford's, and S, for the same as Langford's. Of course S is not exact and means two fighters' power punch is in the same neighborhood. Make your own markings. How right or how wrong am I?
Tunney L
Dempsey G
Sharkey L
Braddock L
Baer G
Louis G
Walcott S
Charles L
Marciano S
Patterson S
Liston G
Ali S
B Foster S
M Spinks S
V Klit S
W Klit S
Wilder G
Fury
You listed lots of guys.
I'd say he hit harder than Tunney, Sharkey, Braddock, Walcott, Charles, Ali, Foster, and Spinks.
On par with Fury, and slightly behind Patterson.,
In his timeline he was a 9. In a modern sense more like a 7. He had quick hands, a hard hook, and a solid right hand, weighing in at 170-200 pounds. Obviously he had 15+ round stamima and lots of durability and guts.Comment

HAHA nice. Did you like Jordan Peele's 2019 version of The Twilight Zone? I liked some episodes. The ones that weren't too preachy about race or masculinity. So far, I've liked Blurryman best, although when I watch Season 2 I might like A Small Town or A Human Face better.Comment

. And they somehow got Daniel Craig back. Not sure about the show now. It's in another one of those transitional periods, like mid 90s or mid 80s after Eddie Murphy before late 80s and Phil Hartman had other people to work with.
The 2019 Twilight Zone show intrigued me though. Also liked the Comedian episode. Had fun pausing the scene with the list of names the comic looks up, as a lot of them were characters from the original series or possibly people that worked on it. Also Rod Serling wrote a movie back in the day I think for Playhouse 90, also called The Comedian.
Didn't know Langford was Canadian, eh? And with 126 knockouts, he must've hit hard.Comment

QUOTING.
As in that's what the subject of your article said. You should SHAMELESSLY blame him!
Besides the fact that he contradicted damn near everything that you said
YOU posted the article. Don't blame me for what YOU posted, dumbass!Last edited by travestyny; 05-30-2023, 07:03 PM.Comment

Even if it were a sparring session, when fighters are preparing for a fight those sparring sessions are all out wars. Johnson was notorious for trying to embarrass his sparring partners in front of the press or an audience.Comment
