Battling Siki was one of the most colourfull fighters in history who often walked around with a pet Tiger on a lead, many books have been written about this fighter whose life-style made Mike Tyson seem like a boy scout, Criqui & Thil both won over 100 fights and are in the IBHOF Criqui is famous for being the only world champion with no jaw, his jaw was shattered by a bullet in WW1 he had it rebuilt with a Goats leg bone, Thil was a great fighter beating the likes of Gorilla Jones, Jock McAvoy and the great Len Harvey.
      Nobody yet answered about Pladner.

Emille (spider)Pladner was one of the greatest French fighters of all time, he was World Flyweight champion even tho he was blind in one eye...

Pladner was a talented fighter who lost only 16 bouts in 134 contests and scored 39 knockouts; During his career, he won the NBA Flyweight Championship of the World, the IBU Flyweight Championship of the World, the EBU Flyweight Championship of Europe and the Bantamweight Championship of France

The "Spider" defeated such men as Frankie Genaro, Johnny Hill, Newsboy Brown, Victor "Young" Perez, "Wee" Willie Davies, Eugene Huat, "Corporal" Izzy Schwartz, Bobby Leitham, Ernie Jarvis, Frankie Ash, Nicolas Petit-Biquet, Maurice Dubois, Shuku Hashimoto, Werner Riethdorf and Jimmy Thomas

Herb Goldman ranked Emile as the #20 All-Time Flyweight

Mormeck is one of my fav fighters to watch as he is always involved in good fights. Georges Carpentier is probably the best French boxer.

Good imfo.. I believe he won and lost the title to Genaro, so it must have been during the late 20's..

At the moment we have quite a good grassroots program on the go, and the days of Carpentiere and Cerdan will be just around the corner! Olympians such as Khedafi Djelkhir and Douda Sow are just the beginning. We had a boxer who represented Morocco too. It is growing in ethnic areas and we will have another legend soon enough who will wipe the floor with an overhyped english bum. Pretty much the way youngest Brit champ ever Ted Kid Lewis got dealt with by Carpentiere in a single round! Vive Le France! We spit on them chiennes, lol

If you wanted to do some Brit bashing, you should have done a professional job & mentioned Joe Beckett.. I take it your still bitter about the scalp of Mormeck at the hands of Londoner, David Haye...
