  • Boxers who resemble and fight like modern heavyweights and other fighters

If you've been here long enough you have heard me make the comparison between the styles of Primo Carnera and Vitaly Klitschko. It's a styles comparison I still stand by if you watch both fighters.

Another I just came up with is Max Baer and Deontay Wilder. Both with devastating one punch power, but both wild with a traditional skill set that leaves a lot to be desired.

Who are some other fighters with comparable styles from different era's? It doesn't have to be just heavyweights. I think Alexis Arguello and Joe Louis were very similar in styles as well.

Style-wise, I think Barney Ross and DLH look remarkably similar!

Not seeing it. Armstrong was more windmill, along the lines of Harry Greb. I think Aaron Pryor is the closet modern equivalent of Armstrong. I'd have Marciano as the closest to Frazier, just with the sides reversed.

I think with his head movement, bobbing and inside work he does winging that left hook he looks like Frazier.

You can see similarities in the slip, roll, feinting and footwork of Dempsey and Whitaker.

This is a great one!!! You can absolutely see the similarities. I would have never put that together.
