Moorer vs Cooper was as dramatic as they come

Refs today would have jumped in melodramatically and stopped the fight after the first flurry that dropped Moorer.

I thought the ref was about to stop the fight and then changed his mind mid stoppage.

          - - He did stop the fight because it was only the ropes holding the slumped defenseless Moorer up who who immediately slipped to his knees, but only for a standing count.

Today, yeah most refs prob stop that fight. Tricky area of decision making. Jesse Vargas had Bradley out on his feet trapped in the corner pounding away when Pat Russell came running up waving his arms to stop the fight that saw Vargas sprint to the opposite corner for the rope victory pose for the fans. After Bradley recovers he waves the now confused Vargas in to continue, a complete sham of a ref too ****** to know how ****** he was sorta like the average boxing fan.

Blew the Provodnikov fight when Prov KDed Tim early that saw him dive as to tackle Prov. Russell, natch, rules a slip(tackle) as if there was really such a thing, and upon rising Bradley immediately falls down again before action commences, an uncalled double KD with one punch much like Tyzsu vs Zab that became a cartoon highlight.

All through that fight Russel was clearly favoring Tim whom off course in spite of getting BTFO the rest of the fight "wins" the fight.

Thankfully Russell soon retired, but he still judges and judges as bad as he reffed which was a horror.
