    Boxing's Super Hardbodies

Hard bodies are just about everywhere in boxing. But on some bodies it is even more outstanding and visible. And it is only appearance, which can be deceiving. For instance, we know Marciano was a hard body, if there ever was one, but he doesn't actually look it.

No way Marciano looks as hard as Sailor Tom Sharkey, Emile Griffith or Marvin Hagler, young Holyfied, Rubin Hurricane Carter or Mike Weaver.

    Any others?

This has the potential to get very

Mike Weaver never lifted weights. Just push-ups, squats, running and the like.

Weaver must have been a true natural.

Doubt that story. Shouldn't he look like Jack Lalanne (sp) or Charles Atlas? He looks like a classic body builder using repetitive low weights.

Big but likely not powerful or strong.

Calisthenics make you strong, body building weight lifting makes you swell. Too much definition for push ups.

He was a Marine with good genetics. Why would he feel the need to lie about something like that?

I don't want to accuse him of lying. Didn't know it was a direct quote from him. Thought it came from one of those anti-wieghts boxing type trainer guys.
