They both screamed audibly when hit by a body punch once upon a time--Schmeling from Louis and Mosley from Forrest. I heard Mosley's scream, as the announcer pointed it out. I don't know if Schmeling's involuntary expiration was recorded for posterity or just recounted by some at ringside.

I should have phrased the original question differently, but the forum processor makes no provision I can find for Tweaking the title of a thread slightly once it is published. Probably for a good reason, but sometimes I wish I could tweak the question.

Which ring oddity do they share?

It is not entirely odd that one would scream from a vicious body shot, yet you still don't hear it much. The guy doing the punching is often the one screaming and grunting.

                  Schmeling screaming.

"After only a few seconds of feinting, Louis unleashed a tireless barrage on Schmeling. Referee Arthur Donovan stopped action for the first time just over one minute and a half into the fight after Louis connected on five left hooks and a body blow to Schmeling's lower left which had him audibly crying in pain."

I believe you can heard Tyrell Briggs reacting to Tydon's body attack. At least Tyson (unnecessarily) exclaimed 'he was squealing like girl everytime I hit him in the body.'
