I had a dream about Michael Spinks

The middleweight with the best chance to move up and beat Spinks was probably Monzon, though it would have to be a mythical match up because they were not precise contemporaries. I believe Robinson would engage a little too much. Someone like Burley may have been smart enough to outbox the awkward Spinks. Billy Conn has a chance. But was he a middleweight?

I'm surprised no mention of Hopkins. He moved up to 175 and did well. If he had done it earlier in his career he may have a shot at being a spoiler. Overall I doubt it, but he has as good a chance as anybody.

Conn has a great resume at middleweight. Very underrated.

          Then what happened?
