Short answer - working on it

I've a discord with them that is invite only. I recently had a harddrive corruption issue and can't get access to a lot of my passwords. So, at the moment, I am hoping one of my buddied sees me here and asks why I've been ducking the discord so I can get a new invite.

I'll recover it eventually if they don't notice me here, but, it's how I got my first invite so it's not as far a reach as it might seem, and, it turns out passwords are not saved locally. I have been all over the HDD, I slaved it on a new rig to look in its files, but they're not there because edge and chrome save on some server someplace. So, for me to recover my own PWs I'll have to pop the HDD back in as main, boot from it, and get into the browsers myself and manually back them up. If you've ever had a corrupted drive you'll know first hand the chances of that working out....not great.

So my best bet actually is being noticed. I think

From my experience, a lot of those guys are stuck up and think they are more important than they are

        Yup!

The way I fell into association with them was by emailing questions and getting back very unsatisfying answers. Back and forth long enough with enough peoples that eventually it became more they don't know but don't like to admit not know so they cover their lack of knowledge in areas with labeling it unimportant. Between Figg and Broughton are very good years for that because the Figg guys are very, very proud of their work, as they should be, and let their pride cloud their judgement.

After years and years and years of dealing with those *******s my own private research began to inspire others, posted right here. One of which started a book and brought his work to the IBRO. I don't know if he was ever inducted as a member but since he was on good terms with them and I him I used him transitively until authors were more willing to speak to me rather than tell me. It got to the point where they were telling me I misunderstood my own work because they didn't realize I was the source.

It's actually that guy I'm in a discord group with. His name is Zach, I've forgotten his handle.

Matt Dunnellon and Chris Shelton are really good historians who are honest and open and won't cover a lack of knowledge by labeling any portion of history with "unimportant". You can email them directly and expect a decent response. I think, I mean they both knew I bought their books prior to my emailing because I bought them direct from their spam. "I wrote a book about that" Cool bud, bought it, I got questions...is a bit different than random email, so maybe I give them too much credit but I think they're good people and friendly IBRO members.

Everyone else, straight ****s. Arrogant ****s who refuse to admit quite a lot more info is available now than was when CBZ and IBRO members actually wrote their books and articles.

I remember going off on two of them, I think Frank Lotierzo and some scumbag Charles Farrell, who I exposed to be a complete fraud on Twitter

Frank was just a hothead. Farrell wrote a book filled with his "facts" that many people pointed out were made up and he deleted his Twitter account.

                - - I never heard of Farrell and not likely to be buying any boxing books anyway.

Ive only heard of him through his tall tales. For some reason Lotierzo worships him.

                    • Cruiserweight [also called junior heavyweight] (176-200 lbs; 80.0 – 90.0 kg; 12 stone 8 pounds – 14 stone 4 pounds): First originated in England (later called lighter-heavyweight); next established as 176-190 lbs (80.0 – 86.2 kg or 12 stone, 8 pounds – 13 stone, 8 pounds) by the WBC in 1979, then the WBA in 1982, and the IBF in 1983; modified in 2004 first by the WBC, then the WBA and next by the IBF to allow a maximum limit of 200 pounds. NOTE: the English class cruiserweights (from 1889-1937) became light heavyweight (1937-present). The name reappeared in America (in 1980) for a new class of 190, then 195, and currently 200 pound boxers.

Only the page I found the anecdote on pops up when I search the page's source.

Anyone know if The History of Modern Day Weight Categories actually exists?

I'm sending an email to Greg Goodrich too.
