Azzumah "The Professor" Nelson vs Manny "PacMan" Pacquiao at 126, who wins?

Sanchez was quick as hell though, Nelson wasn't. you guys are acting like Pacquiao only recently got good, he was a friggen beast in the lower weights, he cleaned it out. Any body who can beat near prime Barrera as bad as he did has got to be good.

hmm I wouldnt go as far as to say 'quick as hell', but he was probably faster than Nelson.

its not a magical overnight transformation that made Pacquiao what he is today, the guy was always very good, and is only now getting respect for it.

for the most part though, I just dont think Pacquiao deals well with rough fighters that like to duke it out at close range. and thats probably what Azumah would try to do.

not that Azumah would necessarily win(although he could), but Pacquiao would have a very, very tough nght ahead of him.

I just disagree with the part about not liking rough fights, up untill recently he loved to scrap, often coming out covered in blood and only the best counter punchers could deal with him. In fact, in a war he almost always came out on top, bar the first Morales fight, which he avenged.

by 'rough' fights, I dont mean he doesnt like to scrap...its not uncommon at all for him to go to war and do well.
nah, I mean he generally gets flustered when his opponent starts mauling, grabbing, pushing...that kind of stuff, at close distance. hes not the best when he gets up agaisnt the ropes either, he just loses it and goes ape****. cuts discourage him a bit too. simply put, hes erratic at times.

I know people will want to bring up the Hatton fight, but Hatton was always a sucker for southpaws and had terrible defense. the few times he wasnt getting punched in the face, he was able to get close to Pacquiao, and you could tell Pacquiao didnt want anything to do with that sort of a fight.

Im not saying that Pacquiao couldnt hold his own in that situation, but it just isnt really a good position to be in with someone like Nelson.
