Manny rolled the dice too many times - and got knocked the F out in the end.

      - -Had BALCO Juan ready to go splotto and jumped in for the KO whereupon Manny made a classic lefty vs righty footfault mistake to land on the Marquez foot that left him off balance and open for the right hand.

Juan ducked the immediate lucrative rematch as he had all through their fights to lose a nondescript decision to Bradley.

A fifth fight made no sense, especially since he felt jobbed in the first 3.

          - -He was reputed to be an accountant when turning pro.

He turned down a record purse rematch after their 1st fight Draw, rings up 2 defenses for peanuts before getting stripped. Flies to Indonesia for $25K to get humiliated by Chris John. Skipping >>>> turns down another record purse for their 5th fight to lose to Bradley for 1/4th the purse he could've got to lose to Manny. Apparently he knew he's getting BTFO no matter the result that wasn't worth some $millions more added to his career earnings.

I think the pride of winning against Pac was enough. The amount of money Marquez made, to live in Mexico, is enough to last 10 lifetimes.

              - -Manny earned him half of that money and could've made it 2/3rds but for his ducking Manny. As it is, Manny made the Three Amigos into household names and more than anyone secured their legends.

It goes both ways. They also made him a household name.

                  - -3 prime Mexican Legends vs 1 flyweight Filipino combined with Manny's final record against the Amigos proves He was The Man from his boxing inception.

Marquez wouldn't fight Barrera until too late and basically ran from him in between getting knocked down and likely out had Jay Nady been on top of things that night.

Ducked Morales repeatedly even when Morales was clearly past his best and still calling him out.

                    Barrera is younger than Marquez.

The WBC had at one point ordered Morales and Marquez to fight. If memory services me right, Morales and Top Rank had no interest in the fight. They felt Marquez was a nobody.
