    Speaking of Nicknames

Has anyone heard of a nickname associated with Floyd Patterson?

Is he the only HW Champion with no nickname?

And no, calling him 'the rabbit' is Ali being his usual disrepectful self so that doesn't count.

    - -Well, starting out Ali was Gaseous Cassius, but Floyd such a plain vanilla personality perhaps never generated a public nickname.

Keep in mind used to be it was the fans and writers who bestowed names on fighters, not the fighters themselves, so Ali broke the mold in that regard.

Maybe we should give him one - how about the 'Catskill' Cat'

He was apparently called the “Gentleman of Boxing”. At least, according to his Wikipedia page.
