Are we just going to ignore the fact that Carl Froch didn't really beat Andre Dirrell?

I actually rewatched it and re-scored it during lockdown last year Dirrell clearly won IMO. Awful fight though.

I’m a Calzaghe fan but I don’t reckon he fancied fighting Tarver. You had to be 5 years past your prime for him to fight you at 175.

I think Joe knew his body was breaking down after the Kessler fight and didn’t want to risk losing the 0. I think he probably would have beat Tarver though.

Froch was poor that night, but even top fighters can have the odd off night. Froch was not elite, but he was world-class, he got better after this fight. Dirrell looked like a real prospect at one point, but it was all downhill after Abraham. That night was an embarrassment and makes me glad that he was robbed vs Froch. Nash out.

The DeGale fight didn't help him either. He was nearly stopped in the second round.

            - -JRoy and Popkins his natural rivals, not Tarver who's only claim to fame is the lucky Roy shot.

Dirrell won that fight and it still annoys me to this day that he didn't get the decision. And yes, he was whipping Arthur Abraham too until the incident.

His weakness was that he was too soft and immature mentally. I saw him fight last week and he still looked pretty good though, even if it was against a tomato can.

Maybe he has one last little run left in him.

He was clearly a better fighter than Carl Froch that night in any case.

                    - -Andre the Runner/Stinker/Sinker was never a fighter. Get over it. He was a drama queen wannabe

The "runner/stinker" put more combinations on Carl Froch's face than the other way around. Froch did manage to get in some good wrestling moves but unfortunately that is an entirely different sport.

You obviously didn't watch the fight, much like you never saw tape of Sugar Ray Robinson vs Willie Pep. So I'll post some highlights for you:
