    Froch-Dirrell with RBR scoring.

    10-9 Froch
    19-19
    29-28 Dirrell
    39-37
    49-46
    58-56
    68-65
    77-75
    87-84
    96-93 -1 pt Dirrell
    106-102
    115-112 Dirrell.

I don’t know what possessed me to rewatch this mess. I remember thinking Dirrell was jobbed at the time but didn’t care because of how horrible his style was.

What actually surprised me though is that Dirrell arguably finished stronger, he actually hurt Froch in round 10 and landed some solid shots in both 11 and 12.

This fight was terrible though- Froch was constantly rabbit punching and at one point body slammed Dirrell. Dirrell was excessively running and constantly looking to hold.

Dirrell definitely outboxed Froch though, I think this was a borderline robbery.

Two quotes some this fight up for me:

“He keeps running away the f**got”. Froch’s girlfriend.

“Froch’s technique is worse than normal”. Al Bernstein.

I rewatched this fight about a month ago. Covid boredom lol. I had it 117-110 for Dirrell. That point deduction was bull**** with how much rabbit punching Froch got away with.

But I didn’t break it down like you lol

Had it for Dirrell by four or five points, I don't remember.

Dirrell did land some crisp shots late and did buzz Froch, especially after the point deduction round.

I could have had it wider tbh, most of the closer rounds I gave to Froch just because he was pressing the action.

The referee was horrible, he had no control over the fight.

Yeah Dirrell was tagging him a lot during exchanges. He should have imposed himself a little more.

That version of Dirrell was so good...Yet still had some confidence issues. That was what separated Ward from him. Dirrell was seen as the naturally more talented guy, but Ward had way dog in him and knew exactly who he was in the ring. Still wish that fight would have taken place in the Super Six.

This was a strange fight, in the sense that it's the only fight where I didn't feel bad for the person who was robbed.

Was a huge Direll fan back in the day, I feel like he could've achieved a lottttt more if he summoned some more mental strength from somewhere.

Dirrell is the type of guy who finds a way to lose a fight.

It was meant to happen wasn’t it? But Dirrell withdrew and then Ward ending up fighting Bika. I think that’s what happened- the Super Six format was so confusing.

                    I felt the same.

Joseph Parker vs Hughie Fury was similar. I felt Hughie nicked it but couldn’t care less that he didn’t get the decision haha.
