A perfect power punch from Liston can indeed launch Marciano into the third row. But this guarantees the Rock a twenty count to clamber back into the ring on his feet, if his legal advisors have dotted all their i's. The sight of him getting back into the ring more eager than ever to continue, will wound the fragile spirit of Liston on the spot, setting him up for the later kill, as the Rock wears him down and strips away his spirit like flesh to a predator.

Did Fripo actually live that moment? Did he for a moment think he had won it all and then felt his spirit crash? I wonder.

Liston had more power imo and he would have sparked ****ell and moore rather than wore them down with an accumulation of punches.

Rocky was more of a one punch artist when he was younger though. Often think he may have got less damaged in fights and had a longer career if he still adopted that one punch offensive.
I have to side with Cfang on this one.

I see Liston with an edge head-to-head but pound-for-pound, Rocky wins this one.

I wouldn't want either of them even punching a wall beside me. Dangerous men.

            This is a perfect summary

              - -Firpo had Jack in big trouble, but the alleged punch that put him out of the ring was a frustrated push by Firpo, not a concussive punch.

                Like dinosaur evolution.
With Liston, a new, natural bigger and stronger generation entered the scene.
An allosaurus, how mighty and fearful he ever was, should be wise enough
not to mix it with a T-Rex.
