    Oscar (Ringo) Bonavena Fights Archive

I'm currently researching Oscar (Ringo) Bonavena's career and there are a couple of fights I'd like to find in full-length, good quality versions. I'll need to license the footage eventually so the sources would have to be somewhat official (archives, collections, TV networks, sport associations).
    1. Oscar Bonavena vs George Chuvalo (23-06-1966, Madison Square Garden, NY)
    2. Oscar Bonavena vs Karl Mildenberger (16-09-67, Waldstadion, Frankfurt)
    3. Oscar Bonavena vs Jimmy Ellis (02-12-1967, Freedom Hall, Louisville)
    4. Oscar Bonavena vs Lee Carr (20-04-1968, Luna Park, Buenos Aires)
    5. Oscar Bonavena vs Joe Frazier (10-12-1968, Spectrum, Philadelphia)
    6. Oscar Bonavena vs Muhammad Ali (07-12-1970, Madison Square Garden, NY)
    7. Muhammad Ali vs Jerry Quarry (26-10-1970, City Auditorium, Atlanta)
If anyone knows reliable sources where I could find these fights or point me in the right direction, it would be really helpful. Thanks in advance!

Probably need to contact the promoters of those fights.

I am not sure of this, maybe someone knows the law better . . .

. . . but there is a good chance they are not under copyright any longer. I don't know what year they changed the law to 99 years, but before that I THINK copyrights lasted 27 years and were renewable for another 27 years. One might find that the copyright has lapsed on many of these fights - there may not have been reason enough to renew. Even with renewal some of these may be in public domain anyway.

Like I said I don't know when they changed the law to 99 years but I am pretty sure that's what it is now, but was not always so.

Someone in Philly recently bought up the old Joe Palooka copyright and is planning on trying to revive the comic strip.

I have a hard time seeing someone spending money to buy control over a Bonavena fight.

I hope someone with more knowledge will reply.

Thank you both! Is there any way to find out who were the promoters?

Possibly on Boxrec? It doesn't say who staged the shows?
