I'm going to disagree with this for one reason. If Pacquiao agrees in 2009, the fight would have happened. They went so far as to go to mediation. No one does all of this to waste time. It's not about just one person. There were various professionals involved here. I highly doubt, for example, that Richard Shaeffer was interested in negotiations that purposely went nowhere. You don't have lawyers draft an 8 page contract as detailed as the one mentioned here for no reason and sign on the line for it to be ignored.

A 50/50 split and 14 day cutoff for blood testing was overly reasonable.

I agree that the fight could have happened March 2010 as originally planned but anything that happened after was definitely excuses, made by both sides. The 40m flat fee, not wanting to do business with bob, stadium having to be built, etc. manny officially losing twice in 2012 didn’t help things either
