Your definition of the term "hell" is very different to mine dunce.Cooper gave ali hell during his first fight,Hell(see what I did there dunce?) there are greater arguments to be made that Chuvalo and Liston gave Ali "hell" during their fights but Doug "miss a punch" give him hell? Doug Jones gave young Ali a tough fight, I don't think anyone can argue against this especially with the fight posted on the previous page. Even Ali admitted it.

I to find that to many people judge how a fight between Louis and Ali would of went, by soley watching Louis vs Conn 1. But they never seem to mention how some thought the capable but limted Doug Jones was robbed out of a victory against Clay, or how the left hook of Henry Cooper nearly knocked out Clay. So off them Clay fights, a arugment could be easily made of imagine what Louis would of done to Ali.

Conn used a clever gameplan against Louis for 13 rounds, using his speed of foot and hand, using faints and body attacks to open Louis up, but for the majority of the fight Louis was always in it.

To make a prediction of how a fight would of played out between Ali and Louis, you would have to look at more than just one fight.

You're talking about an extremely unseasoned( even smaller in frame than the Ali of prime) who fought Doug Jones. When discussing pound for pound match ups, it normally means when both fighters are at their peak. Like the Ali who fought Liston against the Louis against Smhmelling in the rematch.

Yes I do.I am not big into fantasy matches I wouldn't even necessarily pick Ali in a matchup against Louis or vice versa due to my distain for such fantasy pickings but believe it or not I wouldn't limit Marciano's chances down to lasting just seven rounds against a prime Joe Louis like most Louis nuthuggers do
