No, he went back down to win a MW title and set another record. Happy?

Why are you so bothered he fought Barkley anyway?

He still fought until 2006 and picked up another loss in 2000.

It seems like you are not a fan of him, or am I wrong?

I like Hearns, wouldn't say I'm a fan of him. I think 'fan' is used to likely and in my terms I'm only a fan of very few fighters.

But no doubt, the guy is a great fighter. I just think Barkley gives a lot of fighters problems and he was always a bad match-up for Hearns.

Hearns wanted to accomplish what no other fighter had accomplished before him which was to win world titles at 4 different weight classes.

He never had any plans staying at LHW, it was simply a part of his campaign to win titles at four different weights, although he did fight as a light heavy against when he beat Virgil Hill.

**** Barkley! He was a streetfighter who never shoulda become a boxer. His style was so boring and exhausting to watch. He lost 19 fights, so how can anybody rate him as a good fighter I don't know. He was a mediocre boxer with a good left hook. Or was it right? Nevermind. He was John Ruiz of the 80's and 90's!

                Good enough to beat Hearns.

Btw, that makes Hearns look even worse.

Ha-ha! Very funny. He just didn't have an answer for his "trench-technique". Well, don't forget he was beating Barkley up until the moment he got koed. Barkley's only exciting fights were against Michael Olajide, where he got knocked down and Robbie Sims, where he got koed.

Barkley shall be known to have the 'Williams disorder'.
