Jack Johnson fought under completely different ruleset. Pep was fighting when Ali was fighting...

Both supremely skilled fighters, but I think Floyd would beat Willie. Just as skilled, but naturally bigger and stronger, and that would be the difference. (floyd made 130 in this era, Willie was at 126 in the same day weigh in era)

Floyd would probably be the aggressor in this fight, trying to pick Pep apart with sharp punches while staying out of trouble himself, I think he backs Pep up, maybe even hurts or drops him a few times, and Willie doesn't do enough offensively to win the decision, but hangs in there with his tenacity and great defence.
