yes you are correct in that Holyfield was `robbed` and Lewis wanted nothing to do with Hide, he also was stripped of the IBF belt for avoiding Byrd..

The Truth is Lennox Lewis was an oppotunist who never fought the top fighters who was at the top of their game, he chose to fight Class C fighters who was on the slide like, Botha, Tua, Grant, Tucker, Akinwande, Briggs, Jackson, Butler, Golota, Morrison, Ruddock, Mavrovich... his only 2 victories over elite opposition was over Tyson & Holyfield who was both a decade past their best

to deny or try to spin the facts is ludicrous

I don't give Lewis any credit for beating Tyson, whether or not Holyfield was prime is a debate, he was however the man who had beaten Tyson twice and revenged against Moorer so was a live body.

As for your fighters on the slide, Grant, Mavrovich and Akinwande were unbeaten so if they were on the slide you must have quite an eye.

Tua had lost one fight 3 years previously Butler was undefeated for 4 years.
Golota had lost 2 on DQ against Bowe and had the best of those fights.
Ruddock had lost 2 in 7 years to a pretty good Tyson, many would say that apart from Douglas had probably put up as good a showing as had been seen against Tyson.

Like I say I am not a particularily huge fan of Lewis but I am a big fan of facts. You obviously have a beef against Lewis so are twisting the truth rather than revealing it.

Go make a Poll on Lewis vs Holy and see how it goes because i think you will find and overwhelming majority will pick Leiws. Why ? because he won the fight. You only think Lewis lost the fight because you hate him and like Holyfield. Im an unbiased Holyfield fan and i can say with hand on heart that he lost the fight.

it is not a case of hating Lennox Lewis, its a case of looking at his career and truthfully telling it how it really was.... the guy did not fight the prime fighters of the 1990s he chose to fight mediocre class C fighters, his win over Tyson was no better than the victory Danny Williams and Kevin McBride hold over Tyson and the fact has to be taken into account that Mike Tyson was more than a decade past his sell-by-date... also Lewis in the opinion of most reporters at ringside was very fortunate to get the decision over Holyfield and it was a "washed-up" Holyfield.

Do we call Chris Byrd who easily beat Holyfield as a greater world champion than Holyfield?

Chris Byrd, Larry Donald, John Ruiz, Nicolay Valuev all beat Holyfield

Danny Williams & Kevin McBride beat Mike Tyson

Lennox Lewis victories was against the same version of these former great champions that the above fighters fought
