If Hamed doesn't get in the HOF clearly has no credibility. It's supposed to be great fighters and a guy that reigned as the best fw in the world for a few years in the late 90s and singlehandedly made HBO care about the little guys fits the bill of what a HOF fighter should be. If Gatti ever gets in then Hamed is a certainty.

      Barry McGuigan?
      Terry Norris?
      Matthew Saad Muhammad?

how the hell is hamed any worse than them....especially when you guys act like gatti deserves to be there.....
Saad Muhammad was an awesome fighter, Naz Hamed left a grave yard of fighters behind him, if he had fought Barrera 12 months earlier Barrera would have been KOd

Naseem Hamed I believe was the first man to unify all four titles of the four main boxing bodies(WBC,IBF,WBA,WBO).Unfortunately he was never given this official credit due to the WBA stripping Vasquez in the lead up to their fight

        Carlos Monzon?

What people forget is the fact that Morales and Barrera,These so called mexican warrior didn't want anything to do with Hamed for the three years he called them out.Juan Manuel Marquez the fighter who Hamed apparently wanted nothing to do with also turned down a fight with Hamed in summer of 2000.Had Barrera fought Hamed a year earlier and used the exact same tactical fight he still would have beaten Hamed,Hamed was a pale shadow of the fighter that he once was from 1998 onwards.

          MANUEL MEDINA 8/31/96 126 KO11
          TOM JOHNSON 2/8/97 126 KO8
          KEVIN KELLEY 12/19/97 126 KO4
          WILFREDO VASQUEZ 4/18/98 126 KO7
          WAYNE MCCULLOUGH 10/31/98 126 W12
          PAUL INGLE 4/10/99 126 KO11
          CESAR SOTO 10/22/99 126 W12
          VUYANI BUNGU 3/11/00 126 KO4

He dominated all these fighters throughout his 126 reign. An impressive reign and HOF worthy

Of all the guys to beef about in the HOF, picking arguably the #1 JMW and arguably a top 20 LHW were not the ways to go.

That said, I'd also induct Naz into the HOF. But he's not significantly better (if at all better) than Norris or Saad Muhammad. He's a poor man's RJJ, without the weight division jumps, something "ducked" fighters normally would do. I know Mayweather was plenty interested just 4 lbs north, and he'd even meet him at a catch weight.

Dunce say,Dunce do and no more apparent than in this very thread.Virgil Hill is a much more accomplished fighter than Matthew Saad Muhammad,Matthew Saad Muhammad is easily one of the most overrated fighters of the last thirty five years based upon his reseme and accomplishments.Saad Muhammad isn't fit to lace the boots of Virgil Hill when comparing the two in an impartial manner.Something you are clearly incapable of dunce

I'd put Hamed in there, he should have held all 4 titles at once if he didn't get stripped of 1 before a fight. He was very entertaining, a classic.
